{"id":1127,"date":"2016-11-02T14:42:18","date_gmt":"2016-11-02T14:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/azimiimmigration.net\/?page_id=1127"},"modified":"2022-10-01T12:05:53","modified_gmt":"2022-10-01T12:05:53","slug":"work-permits","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/azimiimmigration.net\/?page_id=1127&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Work Permits"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Most foreign nationals need a work permit to work in Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There are 2 types of work permits.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>1-Employer-specific work permits<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">An <strong>employer-specific work permit <\/strong>lets you work in Canada according to the conditions on your work permit, such as<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">the name of the specific employer you can work for<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">how long you can work<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">the location where you can work (if applicable)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Many employer-specific work permits need (LMIA). A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job. It will also show that no Canadian worker or permanent resident is available to do the job. A positive LMIA is sometimes called a confirmation letter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There are several Work Permit categories that are Labour market impact assessment (LMIA) exempted such as International Mobility Programs. In H.R.Azimi Immigration Services Inc. we work on following programs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">International Mobility Program: Canadian interests \u2013 Significant benefit \u2013 Entrepreneurs\/self-employed candidates seeking to operate a business in Canada [R205(a) \u2013 C11]. There are two major categories in this program:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Applicants seeking only temporary residence in Canada:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Foreign nationals applying to work for themselves or to operate their own business on a temporary basis must demonstrate that their admission to Canada to operate their business would generate significant economic, social or cultural benefits or opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents can apply in this category.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Applicants seeking eventual permanent residence:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There are two categories of potential permanent residence applicants who may apply for a work permit under this category:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Actual or potential provincial nominees undertaking business activities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Quebec-destined entrepreneurs or self-employed persons issued a Quebec Selection Certificate\u00a0(CSQ).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>International Mobility Program: Canadian interests \u2013 Significant benefit \u2013 Intra-company transferees [R205(a)] (exemption code C12):<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The intra-company category permits international companies to temporarily transfer qualified employees to Canada for the purpose of improving management effectiveness, expanding Canadian exports, and enhancing competitiveness in overseas markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>2-Open work permits<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">An open work permit lets you work for any employer in Canada, except for one that<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">is listed as ineligible on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/work-canada\/employers-non-compliant.html\">list of employers who have failed to comply with the conditions<\/a>, or regularly offers striptease, erotic dance, escort services or erotic massages<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you want to bring your family with you to Canada your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/services\/immigration-citizenship\/helpcentre\/glossary.html#spouse\">spouse<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/services\/immigration-citizenship\/helpcentre\/glossary.html#common_law_partner\">common-law partner<\/a> and dependent children may be able to work, study or live with you while you work in Canada.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][stm_sidebar sidebar=&#8221;311&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]Most foreign nationals need a work permit to work in Canada.
