Overview
Hungary’s guest investor framework is a residence route for qualifying third-country nationals whose investment is considered to be in the national economic interest. The official immigration authority currently lists a qualifying real-estate-fund share and a qualifying donation to an eligible higher-education institution.
Qualifying real-estate fund share
Acquire at least EUR250,000 in a qualifying fund registered by the Hungarian National Bank.
- The investment must meet the official fund requirements
- The share is generally held in a blocked securities account for at least five years
- Fund-manager and asset-composition rules must be verified
